Here is a little of our chapter history.
On April 14, 1975, the Delta Pi Sigma Graduate Chapter in Macon, Georgia and the Zeta Pi Undergraduate Chapter at Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated were organized by Mrs. Georgia Harris. The Charter Members of our chapter are: Barbara Davis, Mary L Hodges, Agnes Lee, Linda Pittman, Diane Walker, and Joann Walker.
Inspired by the national goals of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, these women began their journey of community service and expansion through a close working relationship. Our chapter went on to organize its first Rhoer Club in 1981, the Philo Club in 1985 and the Pi Beta Undergraduate Chapter at Georgia College and State University of Milledgeville, GA in 2000.
Our chapter has impacted the Middle Georgia community educationally, civically, and economically by diligently exercising Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority’s National Programs. “Greater Service, Greater Progress” is our motto which is reflected in the work we do and the lives we touch daily.
